WWLT Offers Scholarship Opportunity for Local Youth to Attend Maine Warden Camp

Woodie Wheaton Land Trust (WWLT) is pleased to announce a scholarship opportunity for one local youth to attend Maine Warden Camp, taking place July 12–17 at Greenland Point.

Maine Warden Camp, offered through a partnership with the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries & Wildlife and the University of Maine Cooperative Extension 4-H program, provides a unique, hands-on outdoor learning experience. Throughout the week, campers gain insight into conservation practices, wildlife and fisheries management, outdoor survival skills, and the important role of Maine Game Wardens. The program is designed to build confidence, foster leadership, and connect young people to Maine’s rich outdoor heritage.

WWLT is proud to serve as a partner in this program and is the sole provider of this full scholarship, ensuring that one local student can attend at no cost. This opportunity reflects WWLT’s ongoing commitment to supporting youth engagement in conservation and outdoor education within our community.

The scholarship is open to youth from the local area who have a strong interest in the outdoors and a desire to learn more about Maine’s natural resources and conservation efforts.
